2025 Annual Report: Neighbors helping neighbors
In 2025, Members and business clients continued to benefit from the value of Community Health Options’ care teams, even amid rising health care costs. The 2025 Annual Report, “Neighbors Helping Neighbors,” showcases these clinicians, nurses, pharmacists and claims experts who do more than coordinate care. They are personal advocates helping Members navigate some of the most stressful moments of their lives.
From helping a rural Member discover that diabetes supplies may be available at no cost, to closing network gaps for Members who couldn't find in-network providers, to connecting cancer patients with lodging and transportation resources for out-of-state treatment, our care teams collaborate to remove barriers and offer solutions, all while finding ways to lower out-of-pocket costs.
Among the 2025 Highlights:
- Real people in Maine--not someone at a distant call center--answered 87,860 calls, logging almost 13,000 hours on the phone addressing Members' concerns.
- Pharmacy programs saved almost $3.4 million in out-of-pocket expenses and health plan prescription costs.
- Firefly Health membership grew by 154% as Members took advantage of convenient virtual primary care.
